Important Medical & Prescription Information

Please read the following information carefully. It is intended to help you make informed decisions about using Direction's telehealth platform and the compounded medications that may be prescribed through our services.

Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

Direction does not provide emergency medical services. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

Telehealth Has Limitations

Telehealth services do not replace an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider. Your Direction provider's ability to evaluate and treat you is limited to what can be assessed through an online intake and health history. They may require in-person evaluation, lab work, or specialist referral before prescribing.

No Prescription Is Guaranteed

Completing a health assessment, enrolling in a plan, or making a payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. All prescribing decisions are made solely by licensed healthcare providers based on their clinical judgment and applicable law.

About Compounded Medications

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products. They are custom-made by licensed pharmacists in FDA-registered facilities and are legal under applicable federal and state pharmacy law.

Compounded medications may carry different risks than FDA-approved drugs, including variability in potency and sterility. Direction partners exclusively with LegitScript-certified or NABP-accredited pharmacies to minimize these risks.

Off-Label Use

Some medications available through Direction may be used off-label — meaning for a purpose not specifically approved by the FDA. Off-label use is legal and common in medical practice. Your provider will discuss this with you if applicable.

Medication Safety

Always disclose your full medical history, current medications, allergies, and any other relevant health information during your assessment. Failure to do so may affect your safety and the accuracy of your treatment plan.

If you experience an adverse reaction, stop using the medication and contact your provider or seek emergency care immediately.
